About Us

About the organization and our mission:

The Home & School Association is a vital link between parents and guardians, teachers, the administration, and the community. We collaborate with the principal and educators to identify needs, provide financial assistance, as well as provide ease of business support for school-related activities. Our members, parents and guardians of our school, support your children’s education by sponsoring various academic, social, unified arts and philanthropic events while encouraging a school and community spirit.

Thanks to our members volunteering and fundraising efforts, we have been able to support and enhance our students’ educational experience in the following ways:

 

  • Promote ongoing communications between parents, teachers, and the administration.
  • Provide funding for various activities and other needs of the school and students that are not available in the school budget.
  • Provide enrichment activities, enhancing student’s education by bringing new concepts to light or by using old concepts in new ways.
  • Sponsor recreation and entertainment activities to encourage students’ social skills, teamwork, leadership, competition, and discipline.
  • Build enthusiasm and improve our children’s outlook on school by supporting Manavon’s student recognition programs.
  • Encourage our children to understand the importance of giving back to our community by volunteering and contributing to philanthropic organizations (Project FOCUS, PCEF, etc.).
