Rock Your Socks

Rock Your Socks
Rock Your SocksRock Your Socks Day is a global event that takes place on March 21st each year to raise awareness and show support for people with Down syndrome. The date for WDSD being the 21st day of the 3rd month, was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome. On Rock Your Socks Day, individuals and groups are encouraged to wear brightly colored, mismatched or funky socks as a symbol of their solidarity with those who have Down syndrome. The event aims to promote inclusion, diversity, and acceptance, and encourages people to celebrate the unique qualities and abilities of individuals with Down syndrome.
