Activities & Clubs

Art Club

Participants will engage in free exploration of art materials in the context of TAB (Teaching Artistic Behavior). Select art will be donated to a local Senior Living facility to support beautification, service and citizenship.

Chorus

PASD offers choral ensemble instruction beginning in 4th grade.  The chorus is open to all students in 4th and 5th grade who have a love for singing with performances scheduled throughout the year. In chorus, students are instilling proper vocal technique, learning how to support their air, control their breathing, shape vowels, and tune across an ensemble. Information on how to join is sent out at the beginning of each school year, and once again in January for the spring season.

K-Kids

K-Kids is a club for 4th and 5th grade students at Manavon Elementary.  K-Kids strives to promote a sense of community and citizenship, encouraging students to actively contribute to their local communities and beyond.  Our K-Kids club emphasizes the importance of service and volunteerism, encouraging students to engage in projects that benefit others.

Running Club

We are so excited to once again offer the Manavon Girls Running Club to 4th and 5th graders! This club is offered at no cost to the student. New members will receive a free T-shirt. We will have a weekly lesson and workout. Each member will get a healthy snack (go Bananas!) during our weekly lesson and then we will warm up and run. Sessions are held rain or shine. Our season will conclude with a final 5K!

Safety Patrol

At the beginning of every school year 5th graders are given the opportunity to write an essay to express their interest in becoming a member of the school’s Safety Patrol. In their essay, they must identify how they exhibit Manvon's 3 B's. Be safe, be responsible, be respectful.   Safety Patrol Member duties include helping with dismissal, either in the cafeteria escorting Kindergarten students to their busses, or in the gym keeping car riders seated. The Safety Patrol Members are valued and respected helpers in the school.

Student Government

The Manavon Student Government is comprised of 1 class-elected representative from each homeroom in second, third, fourth, and fifth grade. Members meet once a month to communicate school accomplishments and concerns and to share and implement ideas that support our school community. In addition, members organize and lead a community service project and partner with home and school initiatives.
